El Olam is a Youth Camp and Outdoor Education Centre situated on a picturesque sugar cane farm in Eston, Kwa-Zulu Natal.

Where Learning Meets Adventure

When you make your booking at Camp El Olam, you are giving your learners the experience of a lifetime. Our Youth Camp counsellors have years of camp and teaching experience and specialise in Outdoor, Leadership and Eco Training and Learning. We craft programmes that will suit you and the needs of your learners, whether you are looking for Leadership Development, Adventure Training or Curriculum Support. We want this to be the place you come back to, year after year!

ACCOMMODATION

We offer comfortable bungalow accommodation for up to 120 learners, as well as 2 private cottages that can accommodate 6 teachers each. Learners are asked to bring their own bedding.

Large outside Dining Hall

Our camp includes a large outside dinning hall, suitable for hosting your full group.

FACILITIES

Our camp includes a large hall and a smaller games room/lounge, creating plenty of space for both group activities and downtime. We also have a fully equipped self-catering kitchen with pots, pans, cooking utensils, a fridge, stove, oven, and deep freeze.

PROGRAMMES

We offer programmes for both school groups and church groups. Teachers and group leaders also have the opportunity to relax while observing learners in a fun, challenging, and stimulating environment.

HEALTHY MEALS

After a full day of outdoor activities, guests can enjoy delicious, wholesome meals. Our menu is available on request. We also have a tuck shop for those who would like to enjoy a few treats.

It was an awesome experience. My favourite activity was borrow the ball, because of trying to free people from jail. I didn’t like the mud. My favourite facilitators were Jabs and Emily and all the other facilitators were very nice. The food was delicious. Camp El Olam you have out done yourself. This was truly the best excursion ever!

I had lots of fun on the night walk even though on the way back, I got a bit tired. I also liked drinking hot chocolate and sitting around the bonfire. My favourite part was archery, I loved popping the balloons. The snake pit was fun, even though it took a long time to wash the mud out of our hair!
